Responsible for the civil registration program
in the local government unit concerned, pursuant
to the Civil Registration Law, the Civil Code,
and other pertinent laws, rules & regulation
issued to implement.
Provides technical assistance and support
to the City Mayor in carrying out adequate facilities
and recommends to the Sangguniang Panlungsod
and advice the City Mayor on all matters relative
to civil registry services.
Accept all registrable documents and judicial
decrees affecting the civil status of persons.
Coordinate with the National Statistics Office
in conducting educational campaigns for vital
registration and assist in the preparation of
demographic and other statistics for the local
government unit concerned.
